Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. The Colony Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search queries on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Information
Our hosting service records ordinary server-log information, such as an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate and troubleshoot the site, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.

This site links to sources such as the Denton County Clerk Official Records Search, Denton Central Appraisal District Public Portal, Denton County judicial and District Clerk routes, Texas Secretary of State My Voter, and The Colony City Secretary public-records portal. Each outside service applies its own privacy policy to information you submit there. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.

Providers that host or support the site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How Information Is Safeguarded
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because this site does not offer accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed here.

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website keeps. Its statutory exemptions include public bodies and some record categories, and it does not make government public records deletable by this private reference site. The Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov’t Code chapter 552, separately governs access to existing public information held by governmental bodies, including the procedures in §§552.021, .221, .234, .2615, and .301. Because we retain very little, requests generally involve our contact mailbox and server logs; use the Contact page to ask. Requests concerning records held by The Colony, Denton County, or Texas offices belong with the relevant custodian.
